 Trail Work Day

The class of 2013  found an opportunity to help at Irvine Regional Park.  The Rangers offer a Trail Work Day through the Adopt-a-Park program and they were happy to have them!  The Young Men first worked in the children's garden area planting cactus, then they moved on to weeding Italian thistle and horehound. Finally, they took a short walk over to an old trail that the park will be reopening, called Lizard Loop, and weeded and cleared the trail for better access.

Newport Beach / Balboa Beach Clean-up

What a beautiful day to clean the beach!  Over 20 young men and 7 cheery moms joined with the National Charity League ladies to pick up Newport Beach.  The attendees were put into groups and went off to find 'treasures'. They covered a lot of area - from the Balboa Pier to the channel and back!
